Our Visionaries
Amrit Singh is the President of Sikh Kid 2 Kid and has been a member
since its foundation in 2012 after the Oak Creek Gurdwara shooting.
After this tragic event, Amrit became committed to end intolerance
toward Sikhs and other minorities and to spread awareness.
As the current President,
she has been able to lead and represent Sikh Kid 2 Kid at various organizations,
the Religious Freedom Center, CUAH, and the DC Interfaith Center.
At Sikh Kid 2 Kid, Amrit has shown her leadership by taking the organization to the next level and leads by developing and executing long and short term goals. She also leads the meetings and plans events for the rising leaders of Sikh Kid 2 Kid and mentors for a new tomorrow.
Amrit is in 12th grade senior at Winston Churchill High School and intends to pursue an M.D. medical degree while also staying active with social justice and eradicating hate and ignorance. In her free time, Amrit enjoys playing bass guitar, developing digital graphics and mobile apps, and spending time with her family and dog.
